Had the most amazing New Year’s celebration in London with Ditta, Kristinur, Helenur and Henrik – by far the best one ever so far in my life. Had dinner at Amaretto on Tottenham Court Road, before proceeding down to Victoria Embankment to see the firework displays. Had to be there already at 9 pm as the viewing areas filled up quickly – but the wait surprisingly turned out to be the most fun part! We were kept entertained by BBC Radio 1 on giant loudspeakers, who referred to the whole evening and crowd as the “World’s largest house party”. We danced and popped champagne, and speeding up time by also counting down to the Scandinavian new year. As midnight was approaching, we almost had no need for fireworks! From now on, I hope every new year’s eve can be just as amazing and suspenseful!
Enjoying the last meal of the year:
We made sure to be down by the river already around 9 pm, as the viewing areas along the river filled up quickly!
