As mentioned earlier, my Polish friend Ewa Janisz is a wonderfully talented photographer. She had some lovely ideas for a “Hampstead Heath” photoshoot series of our friend Lida, and I got to tag along to hold the light reflective screen in order to ensure ample light conditions for the photos!
We spent nearly six hours at Hampstead Heath in the very unglamorous conditions of mud and soil, but I think the pictures turned out truly spectacular in the end, despite us almost freezing to death and drowning in various brown stuff in the process. But how could it ever go wrong with a super-talented photographer, a super-beautiful model and an over-enthusiastic light reflective screen-holder who held the screen as if the world depended on it?!
And for a slightly less elegant backstage photo which made Ewa and Lida roll with laughter:
(DON’T LOSE THAT SCREEN CATHRINE, OR ELSE THE WORLD MIGHT FALL DOWN!!!!)
At least Ewa said I was a very good and committed light reflective screen-holder, and I will take the honour for the way the photos turned out. (*Insert evil laugh*)
